How Does Marvel Do It?
Okay so, my theory on this goes as follows..
Marvel created this story line years ago, back when many of us were still in diapers and somewhere in the 90s they said, "Let us now bring the most popular comics to the masses". The marvel in their story is that the hard work has already been done and it's only now that technology that has caught up and can finally deliver the vision they had so many years ago. There's never been another film franchise as popular as the X-Men and yeah sure there are plenty of franchises with 13 sequels, but none of them consistently outdo the prior. Except for The Avengers, but that's another story for a different time;) So in Apocalypse, The X-Men have their work cut out, as they have to face of their greatest villains to date, Apocalypse. This guy is supreme beyond supreme and it's going to take a whole new bag of tricks from them to even stand chance. The most interesting part about this film going in is that this is actually before the first few films ever occurred. Now if that's not amazing writing, I don't know what is. Well, check that, I do know what it is..It's Freakin Marvel! Pure Insanity!
Now when you dig into this movie, you will be blown away by both the nail-biting story line, as well as, the top notch special effects. I mean this story is so good, it had me wishing I could levitate out of the damn theater and lift cars with the flick of my wrist.
X-Men is a story that gets in your blood, as it's full of dynamic excitement. There's not one dull moment in this film and I'm not just saying that as a fanboy, I'm saying it because this movie kicks Major Ass! Raven(Jennifer Lawrence), Magneto(Michael Fassbender) and a ton of new cats all give the stellar performances we have grown accustom to whenever we sit down to watch a Marvel film. Xavier(James McAvoy), Apocalypse(Oscar Isaac) and even Beast(Nicholas Hoult) take this movie to a level that The Avengers can only dream of touching in the next 10 years. I mean you have to appreciate the buildup, we're talking 7 strong films here..and this was no easy task, but Marvel makes it look like Child's Play. Final Thoughts On X-Men: Apocalypse
If you're not dead, violently sick or stranded in the middle of the ocean, there is no reason that you should not see this movie. This movie is the perfect balance of action, adventure and mystique.
X-Men continues to get stronger with every release and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon. So go see it right now..you won't regret it. -Unhinged Reviews- Looking For More Marvel Reviews? >Click Here<
