![]() "Love Is All You Need? definitely opens eyes and hopefully minds as Kim Shield's short film puts the shoe on the other foot" -Unhinged Reviews What if people were able to see what it's like to be "different"? Would people have a better appreciation for their fellow man? What if people were able to feel the impact that hate and name-calling has on people who were classified as "different"? Would they then understand, what it's like to be unique? "Love Is All You Need" is an interesting film delving into some of the anguish and pain that hate talk and bullying can have on another person. Let's Unhinge... Where's the Love? Well, that's a good question? It's supposed to be out there for everyone to enjoy, but it seems a select few think that everyone shouldn't be loved. Now, we're not here to place judgment, but merely state an observation. If you don't treat your brother or sister as you expect to be treated, How can you expect to be treated fairly when your beliefs are in question? Can you expect to be given free pass just because you believe differently from the next person? Feel differently from the next person? We here at Unhinged Reviews treat everyone with the fairness and respect they deserve. The reason for this is because we ourselves like to be treated with fairness and respect. So again, the question forms...Where's the Love? What's The Film About? It's about this little girl named Ashley who grows up in what's considered to be a "normal" traditional family, except for the fact that the norm of her sexuality is question. You see, little Ashely(DiBenedetto) is a heterosexual and in the film this is taboo and no one will tolerate this obscene behavior. Whoever heard of a girl kissing boys? That's completely absurd. Or is it? That's the beauty of this film, Kim Shields puts the shoe on the other foot and replaces heterosexual with homosexual to deliver a strong message. This message provides an inside look at the repercussions that all the bullying and tormenting individuals of a "different" sexuality can face throughout the years. The results are eye-opening and this is one short film, you don't want to miss. After Watching... We felt this film was a good representation of just how cruel some individuals can be towards someone of a different belief. Sure the context of the film involves sexuality on the surface, but the deeper message goes far beyond. Would you like to see the film?
