Looks like Sci-Fi isn't ready to hand over the reigns just yet as two more titles step into the limelight. April finds us venturing even further into artificial intelligence and pondering the price of a "true" second chance.
As you can see in the pictures above, we've picked the films we're going to watch in theaters this April and now we're going to tell you why. Are you ready? Let's Go... Ex-Machina (4 -24- 15)
First up, Ex-Machina. Now before you go saying anything like, "It's going to suck", listen to our reasons for watching it in the first place.
Ex-Machina is for hardcore Sci-Fi fans, this is not going to be a film for someone looking for the next "Inception". This movie is going to be about the dialogue and interaction between man and his creation. Movies have been playing with this "creator" concept for a while now and Ex-Machina could provide another perspective on this interesting subject. Can you just imagine what life would be like if we had humanoid creations carrying out daily duties or even dropping us off to work? Crazy..So yeah, that's why we're going to see it ^_^ Self/Less (4 -17-15) and (7-10-15)
The jury is still out on the exact date this film will be available for US viewers, but in some parts of the world or internet you will be able to find "Selfless" in April.
Selfless appears to be one of those movies about man's pursuit of immortality which can only end one of two ways. "Really Good or Awfully Bad". We're looking forward to watching Kingsley work his magic, as he's been known to do on more than one occasion. We can't even begin to count how many films have pushed the envelope of medical science and provided viewers with a well laid role-play of "What If". What if we could live forever? What if we would never die? What if ...we were Self/less? Fast And Furious 7 (4 - 3 -15)
You're probably wondering why "Furious 7" is not at the top of the list. Well, we haven't decided if we're going to watch it in theaters just yet.
Before we even think about digging into this "final conclusion" of the speed demon saga, we want to revisit all the priors and compare notes. It's not like we all don't know the movie will be full of cliff-hanger stunts and over the top action, we're just hoping that there may be something more. Something more of value other than oil slicks and sup'd-up sports cars. Only time will tell ^_^ .
