 "If Voorhees had a favorite movie, this would be it!" "Laugh-out loud horror at it's best!" -Unhinged Reviews "Tucker & Dale vs. Evil" is one of those comedies that gets a hold of your funny bone and doesn't let "er" go, until the credits roll. This film is full of laugh-out loud moments dipped in countrified horror that reminds us all of why we should never-judge-a-book-by-it's-cover. Tudyk & Labine are the film's main actors and these two jokers slip right into Tucker & Dale's shoes like possums in spring. So if you're ready for a horror that will leave your side in stitches, let's Unhinge "er". So of course you know any good slasher/horror is going to start off showing some group of college kids traveling too far off the beaten path. "Tucker & Dale" does that, but with a difference, this film has Katrina Bowden! If you don't know who Katrina is, she is Cerie from 30 Rock or you might remember her as the girl with the fish in her pants from "Piranha 3DD"!. Now the plot of the film focuses on one central point and that is assumption. Have you ever assumed something and found out that you we're totally in the wrong? Most of us have, even if we don't admit it(Karen..lol). The group of college kids in this film are the uppity yuppie-type with the preppy collars and "Richy-Rich" syndrome. Somehow or another they get the idea to go skinny-dipping in a lake and that's where the story gets interesting! Allison(Katrina) experiences a mishap during their frolic in the water and guess who comes to her aid? Tucker and that's right you guessed it, Dale. These two hillbillies just happened to be nearby tying a few on and doing a little "fishin" to pass the time. Allison's friends freak out because as you can imagine overalls and two men in a boat, at night scooping up your friend's limp body can be scary. Now to warn you, Tucker and Dale may look "scury", but these two teddy bears are "tender-hearted" and wouldn't hurt a fly. It's just too bad that Allison's group of cronies think that T&D are psychotic maniacs looking to take their friend deep in the woods to "Get er done". The carnage and humor that follows is based on the fact that Allison's friends think that they have to rescue her from imminent peril. As we stated above, this movie is "Laugh-Out Loud" funny and it is truly a treat for both horror and non-horror fans. Some of the scenes in the movie will have you cracking up left and right watching T&D's reactions to Allison's friends trying to save her. These college kids literally throw themselves at the problem and fight tooth and nail to get "er" back. Talk about overreacting(lol), but maybe there's more to the story... Unhinged Reviews recommends this film for fans of horror that can stand a little comedy, as well as, fans of comedy that don't mind a little horror. There are a few scenes that can be considered graphic, but then again, this is a comedy, so it's funny. Enjoy!
