![]() "DiCaprio and Hill make The Wolf Of Wall Street one of the best films to come out of 2013!" -Unhinged Reviews We told you, we told you...we told you! "The Wolf Of Wall Street" is entertainment at it's finest! DiCaprio's performance as Belfort was everything we hoped it would be and then some. This movie covers all the bases like action, comedy, killer narratives and best of all money! Scrosese put his foot in this one, as it's purely edge of the seat excitement enclosed within a film just shy of three hours, but it's well worth the ride! We're excited to dig into this one, so let's Unhinge! For starters, have you seen "The Basketball Diaries"? If you did, you would know just how awesome Leo is at playing someone whose gone way past their limits in the overindulgence of illicit substances. This past film history of Leo's character, Jim Carroll works perfectly because Jordan Belfort(Dicaprio) loves drugs and he is an avid enthusiast of getting blasted every waking moment! There are so many scenes in this film that involve drug use it's insane, but as the film puts it, that's the world of Stockbrokers. Imagine how they crunch number after number with scrutiny and cut throat precision, guess they need an edge. Along with the drug use, of course you will find deviant behavior involving mixing it up with prostitutes, crazy conversations and outrageous profanity! We told you this movie would be off the hook and this is also the reason the movie is "R" rated. So if your planning on taking the kiddies to see this one, you just might want to rethink that for a moment... Okay moment's up(lol). This film starts out showing the humble upbringings of Jordan Belfort just trying to get his foot in the door of the stock trade. He suffers some hard-times, but he is not deterred and has an unrelenting destiny that he yearns to see fulfilled. Dicaprio fits perfectly into these shoes, as we've seen past performances of his characters who share his same cocky persona and electric charisma. Remember, "The Great Gatsby"? This isn't the Gatsby, but Belfort has those same qualities that make people want to be near him, or at least his money. DiCaprio however, isn't the only star in this film. Mr. Jonah Hill kills it as Donnie, a foul-mouthed ambitious dollar chaser that is just as ballsy as Belfort! He's a risk taker and it's easy to see why he and Belfort work together so well to build their empire known as Stratton Oakmont. But, this isn't just another ordinary place of business though. The Stratton-Oakmont firm was without a doubt one of the best places to work if you wanted to make money hand over fist and had the gall to get it. They also threw some epic parties which you will see when you watch the film. By the time the firm, Stratton-Oakmont is completed, there are already a number of other insane characters added into the mix which include drug dealers and fellow crafty entrepreneurs. This crazy inner circle of drug-hazed misfits feed Belfort with the energy and passion to, well you guessed it, make more money. This team, this empire that Belfort builds is undoubtedly what truly gives this film and the nature of the satire in Belfort's story, magic. Of course the film, isn't all about drugs and money, but these guys sure know how to party(lol). Maybe that's the reason that they attract so much attention from the FBI. Yeah, the ol fuzz gets on the tail of Belfort and tries to make things very difficult for our hero. Now anyone one of us that got pinched with the threat of legal persecution would probably shut down and sail ship, but not Belfort! This guy pushed past his own limits and truly had the desire to make a name for himself and his company. When you watch this movie, you will be blown away by the pure insanity of it all, but at the same time, you'll be mesmerized by Belfort's achievements. Hope we didn't ramble on too much in this review, but it's a killer movie! We loved it from the very start all the way to the end. The cast and characters truly come together to make this viewing experience one that can be enjoyed for many years. Scorsese's narrative touch truly blesses this film, as Belfort(DiCaprio) takes a few moments here and there to let us know what's going through his mind. The wild scenes and drug use will have you rolling in your seats, as the characters attempt to crawl and claw their way to the top of wall street. Overall, "The Wolf Of Wall Street" is a solid film! In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend "The Wolf Of Wall Street" for your viewing pleasure! If you enjoy witty, edgy films with characters that know no limits and who will also have you laughing out of your seat, this ones for you. If you're of the conservative-type, then this film may not be for you, due to it's mature content of drug use, nudity and foul language. Anyways, enjoy the trailer and go see the movie in theaters now, it's a good one!
