![]() "Kellan Lutz sheds his Twilight-Pretty Boy image to don the essence of a demigod, in his latest film" -Unhinged Reviews So, let's not listen to any of the doubters for a second because "The Legend Of Hercules" delivers an entertaining experience! We went to watch this film over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised with Lutz's ability to bench-press this titan of a role. Kellan shines as Hercules in this interesting section of mythology that shows what true strength one can embody, if only he truly believes. If you haven't seen this movie yet, don't worry because we won't spoil it here! So, if your ready... Let's Unhinge, "The Legend Of Hercules" If you've been paying attention to the growing list of movies coming out this year, it's easy to see that a large majority of the writers are of focusing on the world's, End Game. That's why a fantasy film such as this is welcome diversion to the incessant drill of the everyday grind to stay alive. We, as a people, need something uplifting every now and again to boost our spirits and well, Hercules, does just that. "The Legend Of Hercules" is a movie which encompasses several emotions within the body of the film such as love, pride, but most importantly jealousy. Yeah, ol Hercules(Lutz) has quite a few haters in his circle, but with his father being Zeus, it's going to take a lot more than hate to slow this train down! "The Legend Of Hercules" begins by first purposing the need for a being such as Hercules. Just think, a man with god-like strength walking around needs to be doing more than just harvesting corn, he needs to on the front line as a testament to the powerful reign of the almighty, Zeus! If you didn't catch it above, this film also has a lot of religious symbolism, but then again, this is mythology and we know the history of that. So, once the purpose of the Hercules is established, all that is left is the creation and "Boy" this is interesting(lol). Let's just say that little PG-13 rating gets a workout in this film, but it is very much still something your little kiddies can enjoy without fear of them coming home with wide-eyes and a new book of swear words. It's not like this is "The "Wolf Of Wall Street", even though that too is a good movie for the grown-ups. Okay, back to the review. One of the standout features of this film is how they gradually build the action and intensity of everything the viewer experiences. You would think with a movie about a man's strength it would be "lift this" and "crush that", but nope, this isn't the case at all. The writers did a great job of developing some excellent characters and putting the focus on the story rather than just the brute strength of Hercules. They made sure to show his human nature before delving into his cosmic bag of goodies, but once they do, "It's on like Donkey Kong"! Another quality almond in the film is the 3D effect laden throughout the picture. We know, we know, no one has been able to do it right since "Avatar", but the production team for this film has taken a few steps in the right direction. You will see what we're talking about not even 15 minutes in the film...that's the first hook. The second is when you begin to see Hercules doing what he does as a demigod, "OMG", it truly is amazing! You wanna talk about strength? Let's just say, Hercules is not someone to be taken lightly, if you catch our drift. Now, as for the decision to cast Lutz in such a large role, we feel it was based on a solid foundation and of course his experience with "Immortals". If you look at some of the other more popular names from the Twilight Saga, the actors are either going too far left or they never get right. Kellan, on the other hand, has an idea of where his true acting strengths lie and he uses this knowledge to slip into Block Busters like this, every chance he gets. Do you think they made the right choice choosing Lutz to play Hercules? Well, either way you slice it, "The Legend Of Hercules" is an entertaining film to watch, as it will easily have you sitting on the edge of your seat anticipating great feats of strength. The only people that we can imagine not liking this movie would be individuals that have never read anything related to Greek Mythology during high school. Now,for those that have read some text, this is definitely a movie for you to go and see in theaters, you shall not be disappointed. -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed this Unhinged Review of "The Legend Of Hercules", please share with others to promote the movie, as well as, the site.
