![]() Tom Six really outdid himself with this one! "The Human Centipede" is one of those films that you will not forget, even long after watching, well into your 90s, you'll still remember it. This movie boasts some of the wildest medical experimentation to ever be captured on the Big Screen, since "Dead Ringers". This movie is dark, creepy and doesn't waste a lot of time getting to the twisted bits. So of course we had to put it on the site..lol "The Human Centipede" for some, may be a bit gross because of it's nature, but here at Unhinged Reviews it's all about an eye-opening experience. Who doesn't love a movie that makes you think, reflect or even gasp for that matter? Who doesn't enjoy watching a movie that blurs the lines of reality and fiction, making you wonder, "Can that really happen? Just making it through a film... such as this will definitely give you some points with your chums that love horror. Well, we watched it and here's our thoughts on "The Human Centipede: First Sequence". The layout of the movie begins with your basic BFFs shooting for a wonderful night out on the town, all glamoured up in their best threads. Okay, great start right, but read a little further. As you know by now, any horror film starting out with two pretty ladies in the beginning doesn't end with roses and candy at the end. So what makes this film different? Well, let's just say these BFFs are going to end up sharing more than beauty secrets by the end of the movie. Now, we must mention that none of the film's magic would even be possible without the great, Dr. Josef Hieter(Laser) being the villain. Who is Dr. Hieter? Hieter is a man with a purpose, a focus, an unyielding vision of perfection. He's a creator and innovator, he reminds you of a Steve Jobs, but in the medical sense. You see like Jobs, Heiter is a perfectionist and he will not stop until he's scratched his itch for pushing the human spirit to new limits. Now certainly the limits he imposes on the characters are definitely well outside the range of normalcy or even safety, but he uses the utmost of courtesy to his credit. When's the last time you saw a doctor in a horror movie make sure that his guests are well fed or even offer to quench their palate when thirsty? Dr. Hieter is a man of few words, but when he speaks, he speaks clearly and is very much impassioned throughout his practice. We need more doctors like Hieter in Horror, we really do, doctors that go above and beyond the call of medical science. Hah! Josef's fine as long as he stays in the movie, but we definitely do not need anyone of his caliber walking around out here with us, "No, Thank You". You'll feel the same way once you see his life's work and witness everything that he does to protect it. If you haven't seen "The Human Centipede", you'll want to watch this one and be transported to the nether regions of a Six mind. Tom Six not only directed this film, he also wrote and co-produced two more installments of the film titled, "The Human Centipede: Second Sequence" and a third installment called "The Human Centipede: Full Sequence". We've only reviewed "The First Sequence" and we're good for right now, but you're more than welcome to venture on ahead and try the next two..lol If you do end up watching them before we do, you should come back here and tell us what you thought about them. Because if they are anything like the first, we can only imagine what the next kink in the link will be.
