![]() Liam Neeson does it again! Just when you didn't think "Taken" could get any better, Bryan Mills's family find themselves in a bit of hot water down in Istanbul. This time the father of the Kim's kidnapper wants revenge for the ruthless disposal of his rancid son. Bryan is a retired CIA operative that will kill anyone that threatens his most important assets, his ex-wife and daughter. Brief Review Of Taken 1 Bryan is a quality family man that was absent from home during the early years of his child's life, due to CIA demands. This harsh workload placed an unbearable strain on his now ex-wife which resulted in them both agreeing to go their separate ways. Even though Bryan is not in the home, he still keeps a close vigilance on the two leading ladies in his life. During Taken 1, Bryan's daughter(Kim) is kidnapped by Albanian mobsters which quickly escalates into a bad decision on their part. Bryan, being the family man that he is, hops on a flight to Paris and kills everyone within a bullet's radius of his daughter. Taken 2 Now that we know how Bryan takes care of his own, let's get back on track. In "Taken 2", Murad, father of the deceased kidnapper, assembles a team of elite mobsters to abduct the entire Mills family. I'm pretty sure it sounded like a good idea at the time, but Murad clearly underestimated the bond between Bryan and his family. With Bryan, Kim and Lenore's lives all hanging in the balance, it's up to Bryan and his ace to conjure a miracle. This movie gives forth an unlikely collaboration that definitely blows minds, plenty of oohs and ahhs throughout the movie one might say. Once the bullets start flying it's only a matter of time before the hunted become the hunter and the blood is the only thing "Taken". "Taken 2" has a bit more insight into the dynamics of the Mills family and this adds value to Bryan's relentless assault on the Albanian mobsters. I jokingly stated that Bryan's "Super Dad' title gets bumped up to "Elite", as he serves up bullets like peppermints to all those who oppose. Kim definitely steps up her role as a key character in the film, while Lenore maintains the Sexy weak mother role throughout the perilous situation. Bryan treats viewers to a new set of skills in this film as he uses what I like to call "Echo Location" to assist his ace in locating his position. All in all, I was more than satisfied with part two of Taken, it's got a lot of action and a killer driving scene. Unhinged Reviews recommends this film for anyone that enjoys killer action with a plot to boot!
