![]() Captin's Log -Star Date 5-21-13: Writing review of Star Trek-Into Darkness. Movie was..awesome, very entertaining..lol Okay Okay, but seriously Star Trek 2 was awesome. Quality film, Captain Kirk, Spock, Uhura and all the other Usual Suspects were there doing what they do best-save the world. This particular film had a bit more focus on some of the events that brought the crew of the enterprise closer together. This fresh new series of Star Trek films makes you want to go back and really get the foundation of the amazing saga which is Star Trek. I'm not the biggest Trekkie, but I did enjoy the film, now let's take a look ... What do you do when your incapable of experiencing human emotion? That's what I'm sure often goes through Spock's head, as he is ever so distant from those that matter most. I've watched Spock from time to time in this version and earlier spins and noticed how his world is either logical or illogical. Black or White, no middle ground. It's funny because he's not so alien after all, I mean how many people do you know that can only understand yes or no? What's a leader if he is not willing to take risks? What good is a leader if he isn't willing to make sacrifices to save his crew? Kirk is often perplexed with these same thoughts as he travels through time and space encountering hostile environment after hostile environment. But what does one do when the most hostile environment is in your own backyard? Sometimes you just have to go with your gut and hope for the best. I know, not what you were expecting right? Oh, but it is. It's all there if you know what to look for. Love. What does it mean to feel something for someone that may never reciprocate or even comprehend the gravity of your emotions? How are you suppose to feel when someone you love shows so much single-mindedness that they risk their life without thinking twice about you? Can you just continue to keep throwing yourself into a fire that may never be squelched, Uhura? You must understand that somethings are not meant to be understood before you can understand true love. No one respects my opinion, but I'm so much smarter than they are. They don't care what you think they should do, they will do what they want anyway. You should just leave, maybe I will. I'm sorry we were wrong, is it too late? Maybe it is and maybe it isn't? So what's it's going to be, Scotty? For over 300 years you've been left hanging in the balance, forgotten and overlooked by many. You an your family will never be reunited even though you try so hard to dream. It's almost an impossible dream, but each step you take brings it closer to a reality. You just may have figured it all out, you just may get your chance. Or will you let it slip through your fingers at the last moment? Star Trek: Into Darkness is an amazing film that definitely inspires questions such as these...Enjoy Unhinged Reviews recommends this film for Star Trek fans of the old and curious adventurers of the new.
