First There Was A Map...
Yes, this stoner tale provides a map to keep it's happy travelers from getting lost during this 77 minute journey to a higher level of consciousness.
"Star Leaf" tells the story of 3 friends on a ride in the countryside, heading to what they think will be a beach full of waves and sand. But when the driver decides to take an unexpected detour, things get just a little bit weird and well..trippy..lol The wandering trio encounters a backyard medicine man with a bag full of smoke and fantastic stories of a wild weed growing deep within the woods. He tells them that the weed is powerful, he tells them that there is nothing on this earth like it...and he promises to let them partake if... They follow the simplest of rules like, "Do not take anything you find" and whatever you do.."Do not take pictures. Seems easy enough right? But you see, that's the thing with directions and marijuana. The lines often get blurred and what seems easy to remember can be just as easily forgotten. If only they could have listened.... And Then Came The Clouds...
Now, what stoner movie would be complete without a few sticks and stems thrown into the wrap?
So as we left off above, we had our trio setting off on a mission to find the stickiest of the ickiest cosmic blends. And well, as you can see in the picture, they find something alright, but it might prove to be more powerful than they can handle. And that says a lot since one of the travelers is a soldier struggling with a serious case of PTSD. Now just imagine that for a second. PTSD and the most powerful buds on the planet mixing together deep within the heart of the woods. You already know it's going to be a wild ride..so are you ready? Are you ready to experience Star Leaf? After Watching, Star Leaf...
We've gotta say it was pretty entertaining and not a bad way to spend a late Saturday night.
