![]() "Frank Miller's pen is on fire and Sin City is darker than ever!" -Unhinged Reviews Just when you thought it was safe to go out at night, Frank Miller brings the heat! "A Dame To Kill For" is so awesome, so off the charts that it's in a class of it's own! Don't listen to any of the bad raps, just view this eye-candy for yourself! The visuals are only an accent to a "totally-enthralling" story. "Sin City 2" is dark, it's gritty and we love it ! So if you're curious to hear more about Miller's latest..take a walk with us into the dark, as we Unhinge... Before we even bought our tickets, we knew it was going to be good, but it turned out to be Great! "Sin City 2" weaves it's grimy web into our minds and imagination again, as the lines get even darker than before. This time around questions are answered in lead and blood... So What's It About? Here we go... In "Sin City 2", there's a few things going on that you'll have to pay attention to. The first being that there are three seperate stories going on which intertwine into a beautiful melody of blood and pain. The second aspect that you will notice is that Eva Green is hotter than a volcano in a 500 degree oven..lol She will literally melt your eyes right out of their sockets! We went to the movie with duct tape, so we just barely left with our vision in tact ;) The story as we said, is of three intricate tales all woven into one. Joseph Gordon Levitt stars in the film as Johnny, Mr. Smooth, a no-holds gambler with a diamond's edge. You've never seen a character so cool and sure about what he wants in life. His main purpose is to win at all cost and he could give a damn about the stakes, he's all in. Johnny goes up against one of hardest hitting hands in the game which just so happens to belong to Senator Roark(Boothe). This guy has the whole town on lock and he doesn't care who knows, maybe that's why he's virtually untouchable. You see, in Sin City it's the people who embrace the darkest corners of the streets that survive. Now, we hope you don't think we're going to give you all the goods, but we're sure you know better by now..lol. However, some of the other characters and stories in this film are just as intriguing as Johnny's. Take Marv for example, whose played by "The Wrestler" himself, Mr. Rourke. This dude is a freakin beast! He could take out King Kong with one blow, dude is a freight train of liquor, muscle and loyalty. He'd cut off his right arm if it would make a difference for his special friend, Nancy(Alba). When you watch this film, you will experience shock, grief and happiness in a titillating kind of way..lol Crazy right? Yeah we know, but that's why we love this film and think you will too. What About The Visuals Oh, the visuals are top notch! As you will see in the trailer, most of the story is in black-n-white and this easily helps give "Sin City 2" that grim grime. What really kicks it up though, as it did in the first, is when they do use colors to accentuate certain key elements. There's a scene when Marv's eyes change colors that just puts an exclamation right into the storyboard. We're talking next level visuals here, it's like they know we're watching. Awesome... A Whole New Respect For Frank Miller After watching this film, you know that the first "Sin City" wasn't just a passing thought, it's a movement. Frank Miller knows his stuff and he's got the comic books to prove it! We're just hoping that he continues to put more work out with the same dark tones and jaw-dropping themes that "you just don't see in film" these days. "A Dame To Kill For" is best suited for adults, as it contains violence, adult dialogue, sexual situations and did we say, graphic violence? Miller and Rodriguez teamed up to bring us the best that Sin City has to offer and they don't disappoint. So if you like the darker moments in life, you'll want to see this one on the big screen.
