The Rock's In The Building!
San Andreas begins by introducing the story of Ray Gaines, a rescue-pilot with a loving daughter that's still trying to hold onto fragments of a broken marriage.
Now this wouldn't seem like much for the average person, but since it's "The Rock" playing Ray, it's a tragedy! As fans of Dwayne, you can't help but to instantly be connected to Ray's struggle. And that's when they sink the hooks in.. From there, the film gradually eases viewers into a few tremors before turning into an all out "OMG" moment. Just watching the sheer gravity of what a massive earthquake can do to a civilization is unfathomable. It's definitely nothing you would want to see in real life, but in a film on top of The Rock's massive muscles, it's pure entertainment. Now of course there are a few more avenues and emotional pings that this film uncovers, but we'll let you watch those for yourself;) Family Ties
Now as we mentioned up above, San Andreas is a story that tells how a powerful force of nature can bring people together or rip them apart.
Just think of how you would respond if the middle of your house was suddenly split in two by a massive slab of concrete. Would you hightail it to a safe location or wait around to gather everyone up and run together? It's okay, you don't have to answer that, we just hope you're half as strong as Blake(Daddario), Ray's daughter. Yes, Ray Gaines not only has muscles, but he has a hot daughter who is as smart as she is beautiful. Daddario's character, Blake plays a typical "daddy's girl" with a whole slew of survival skills tucked under her whirlpool eyes. If you want to see just how well she fares up against the massive earthquake featured in the trailer below, you'll need to watch the movie. At this point, all we'll say is: If you thought Ray Gaines was serious, you haven't seen anything yet ^_^ After Watching San Andreas...
We are hoping that the world never has to experience devastation even remotely close to what we witnessed in San Andreas. To think that the world can just shift and collapse foundations, families and an entire society in a few shakes is astounding. It's pretty freaking wild.
Now we are aware that there are places in the world that have actually experienced natural disasters of biblical proportions, but it's still no less alarming. So with that, we say don't take anything for granted and live every day like it could be your last. -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed this Unhinged Review of San Andreas, please share these words with a friend to support the site.
