![]() "Josh Brolin digs in deep for one helluva 20yr make over!" -Unhinged Reviews Just when you thought it was safe to have a few drinks and shout in the street like a madman..lol Josh Brolin stars as Joe Doucett, in this 2013 remake of the offshore classic, "Oldboy". "Oldboy" is about a man that gets the rare chance to reinvent himself during a 20yr hiatus. Now, what's interesting about it is, he never planned for any of it to happen. Somehow, someone from his past decided he needed an extended break from reality to remember his unruly past. Want to know more? Let's Unhinge "Oldboy" and find out.. 20 Years? What? Yep, 20 years and not a day more. Joe Doucett(Brolin) gets abducted from the streets as he's meandering about tossing back a pint or 15..lol He's just your average snaky, creeper out to make money that gets caught up in some weird shiet. If it had been someone else, we wouldn't think anymore of it, but it's Brolin for movie sake! It can't be! So When Does It Get Weird? Well, Joe wakes up in a decent hotel with all the amenities one might expect from say a Days Inn, but there's one significant difference. He can't leave. Nope, no matter what he does he's stuck in his quaint new room for 20 years. Plenty of tv to watch, but no freedom, plenty of food to eat, but no freedom. Freedom is not a luxury of Doucett's extended stay. Now why is that? Who would want to see Joe in such a bind? Who would want to imprison another individual for 20 years without even as much as a "Hi" or "Hello"? Well, guess to find you you're going to have to watch the film;) But, Boy Does It Get Weird..lol We'll go ahead and share a little bit about the reasoning behind his abduction. It has something to do with one of those wild moments that can occur in one's youth. You know those moments when you see something that you wish you didn't, but it's too good not to talk about? Yeah, one of those kind of deals. Unfortunately, the repercussions in Joe's case just might be more than he's prepared to handle. So Is This A Movie You Should See? Can you think of a reason not to see it? Especially if you already have Netflix, why not? It's got a good bit of action once it gets going and some of it is over the top, but hey it's entertainment. Now, this isn't something to watch if you're looking for film of the year, but if you just want a Brolin fix, this is the ticket. Then again, you could always go see Sin City II if you want more bang for the buck!
