  "Nymphomaniac" by it's name may shock some of you and it may drive others rushing to see it, but just know that the film is so much more than sex!  

  Lars has always been a writer/director capable of producing some of the most eye-catching and memorable films throughout his praise-worthy career, but he's hit a new level of "Greatness" with this one.  "Nymphomaniac" is a film about a woman discussing her sexual exploits in a way that reveals who she is and what she's been searching for her whole life.!

  One of the most interesting aspects of this film is how Joe's(Gainsbourgh) story is told in a way that can be related to most things people do.  For example, they could have done a whole chapter showing how her climax is similar to the purring sound of a Shelby GT or a geyser bursting through the earth's core!  You'll need to see the movie to know exactly what we're talking about, but they did an excellent job with the symbolism and analogies picked for the story.

  There are also several well-known faces in the film like Shia LaBeouf and Uma Thurman, but this film isn't about the big names, it's about the characters and how they connect with each other.  This is what catapults the film into the realm of true art because even though things get a little racy at times, it's more of a poetic approach.  Paintbrushes strokes and delicate words add a vivid background to the already captivating imagery used to craft the erotic tale of "Nymphomaniac".  

  Now for those that are still wondering how the film begins, it starts by showing a woman, Joe(Gainsbourgh), laying in an alleyway.  A kind passerby see's a distressed woman and swoops to her aid, carefully whisking her off to the safety of his home.  It is in his home where Joe, begins to talk of her self-proclaimed Nymphomania and divulges all of her hot, naughty introspective insight that she has accumulated during her lusty travels.  This movie flows like a river and banks like a book, it will definitely keep your interest.  

  Oh and one more thing before we leave you to find all that is titillating within the film.  There is a Vol 2 to this interesting story that looks to be steamier than the first, so be on the lookout for the U.S release!

  So is this film for you?  Well, if you are someone that enjoys a good eye-catching story that may be a little too taboo for the masses, then this is a title you want to see.  If you're a conservative individual that does not wish to be exposed to the raw intimacy that we humans share with one another, then this film probably isn't for you.  Also, this is a mature piece of cinema that most definitely should not be viewed by youths, as it contains some rather "intense" scenes.    Thanks for reading!
