![]() "When God tells you to do something, you do it and do it well" -Unhinged Reviews "Noah" is an awesome film that takes one of the stories we know and love from the bible and gives it life on the big screen! Our hats go off to Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handle, for taking on the epic task of bringing this amazing story to the masses. Russell Crowe's performance is remarkable, as he plays a God-fearing man given a heavy task. This film has been compared to the "Titanic" and "Gladiator", but for some of us, it means a lot more than that! Let's take a moment to Unhinge, the story of Noah... Man oh man, did this story deliver! "Noah" is nothing short of amazing! There seems to be somewhat of a religious campaign going on in Hollywood these days. Films like "Son Of God", "God's Not Dead" and now "Noah" are reaching millions and making people open up a book and finally read something we should have a long time ago. Now of course, there will be naysayers, but we say, "To each his own". So before we even step further into this interesting tale, if you are not a spiritual person, there are plenty of other reviews on this site for you to enjoy, but for the others..let's begin... So the story starts with showing the creation of man leading up to a young Noah. It shows that even back then man was lost in the error of his ways. "Conquer and Destroy" pulsed through our veins, as we consumed the wonderful gifts around us that gave us both life and shelter. Even today, we still destroy what was/is to be our future through acts of greed, violence and lack of empathy for all of God's creations. Fortunately for us, we are given a chance each day to become better people, more knowledgeable of our gifts and hopefully we use that insight to sustain, repair and live to our full potential. But back to the story..lol So, little Noah grows up to be a man with a family of his own. Three boys and a loving wife that work together to maintain what they feel to be a righteous life. And then, one day , Noah is given a vision. It's a vision so Epic, so Colossal that he must seek the advice of his grandfather ,Methusula(Hopkins) to gain clarity on what he is to do with all that he has seen. Once he understands his vision, Noah sets out to build the impossible! Noah begins to build an ark. Now for those that don't know an ark is something that affords safety and protection, but can you imagine what it was like to build the first. Noah's great efforts were not accomplished by him alone, but by God's will and because of that, we have one amazing film to watch. The movie itself is about the tests of Noah's diligence, sacrifice and complete devotion to a higher purpose. Some of the calls Noah is chosen to decide would cripple most anyone walking the earth today. Can you imagine what it would be like to hear thousands screaming for help and remain stone on your decision? Can you begin to understand the weight on Noah's shoulders when he was told to build an ark that would support all of God's creation? Epic...Heavy is just what the movie is and nothing less. After watching this movie, you can believe there will be thousands picking up the nearest bible searching for answers and learning the word. We too will be feeding our minds and exploring the Bible even further than we have before. "Noah" is more than just a good film, it's a reminder and a step in the right direction. Just think about it, if you watch a two-hour movie and pick up a book to learn more, then it's a movie well done. "Noah" is the movie to see, but don't just stop there, continue to learn and grow, in the hopes that we too will have the strength to stand when we are called upon. -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed our Unhinged Review of "Noah" please share it with others to that they may learn of this amazing piece of film history.
