Fury Road Is Totally Insane!
Now to be completely honest, when we first heard about "Fury Road", we didn't set our expectations too high. We we're thinking this was just going to be a novelty film with a few nods to Mel Gibson roaming the desert trying to survive.
Boy, were we wrong. This movie is freaking awesome! "Fury Road" is hardcore action packed to the gills with explosions, nitro and lethal women. Tom Hardy plays as Mad Max, a man who has lost everything(including his mind) who is doing all he can to find peace amidst a sea of chaos. From the very beginning, you are thrown to the wolves in a whirlwind of bloodthirsty War Boys chasing Max through the scorching desert. These guys are coming at him with every tooth, nail and vehicle possible just to capture and seize his precious bodily fluids. It seems when the world completely loses it's marbles, things like blood and water are the only treasures worth having...or stealing. But fortunately for us, Max is a survivor. His determination to exist and escape the Madness in and outside the corners of his mind make "Fury Road" a glorious tale of survival, insanity and mayhem. Charliez Theron Is Super-Bad Ass
If you've watched enough of Theron's movies, you would know that she's a talented actress who will do whatever it takes to get the job done. Little things like cutting her hair or gaining 50lbs for a role are small prices to pay for the amazing performances she consistently delivers time and time again.
In "Fury Road", Theron not only cuts her hair, but dons a persona that is complete Hell On Wheels! Charlize as Imperator Furiosa is without a doubt the female version of Max, but even hotter! It's definitely something to see, as she maintains her beauty while wielding a powerful boom-stick and driving the mother of all super tricked out rigs. Furiosa's role in this film serves as the catalyst to an unfolding of events which ultimately kicks Fury Road into high gear. If it were not for Theron's contribution to the film, Fury Road would be nothing more than a testosterone filled kegger of mindless killing. Destruction In The Wasteland
There are too many villains and unsavory types within the film to name them all, but one Immortan Joe comes to mind when we think of the ugliest. This guy is vile, grotesque and largely responsible for the Epic Road Battle that travels the length of the film.
It's Joe and his quest to return several priceless items stolen from his beloved Citadel that keep the heat on Max and Furiosa's heels. Hugh Keyas-Byrne plays the unruly cult leader of sorts that sends an entire army of death and destruction after Furisoa's tricked out rig. He wants the precious items within her rig because he feels that they are vital to his population's survival. Immortan Joe leaves nothing to chance and enlists the aid of his wasteland brethren in all out assault across hundreds of miles that are appropriately titled, Fury Road. Final Thoughts....
If you don't see Mad Max for anything but the action, it will be money well spent. "Fury Road" is a bit of a haymaker until you get your head wrapped around it, but once you do..it's on like Donkey Kong..lol
This film is definitely not one for the kiddies, as there are plenty of sexual innuendos and glorified acts of violence to keep most adults glued to their seats. The movie in itself as a whole, is nothing short of an experience to be had, even if you're not a fan of past Mad Max films. So, if you're not a total lame and enjoy a good rush, Mad Max Fury Road is your next movie to see ^_^ -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed this Unhinged Review of Mad Max: Fury Road, please share it with another fan of action and mayhem.
