LoveLace-Deeper Than We Ever Knew-Unhinged Reviews

  By now, most of us over 20 have heard of an adult film titled, "Deep Throat", but what most of us didn't know was all that Linda Boreman went through to make it.  The film has been talked about several times over in circles around the globe and it was reported to have brought in an estimated 600 million in total sales.  We now know that not to be true, but it's still an impressive estimation, even for an adult film.  "LoveLace", however, is a film that shows the underbelly of the film's true diamond, Linda Boreman.  Here is her story, shall we Unhinge?

  Linda(Seyfried) was just your ordinary, average young woman trying to make the most of her leisure time during the early 70s.  She lived with her parents in a modern home, nothing too spectacular, but they had control over her life, even though she was already 21.  She wasn't able to express herself, one could say, but this is probably a result of prior freedoms that resulted in her having a child at too young an age.  So with her parents hawking her every move, she never learned how to deal with an evil such as Chuck Traynor(Sarsgaard).

  Linda met Chuck one evening during a casual "Girl's Night Out" with her friend named Patsy(Temple).  The two ladies were having a blast when Chuck approached with a slippery smile and plenty of charisma which easily sidestepped her "Creepy Guy Alert Radar".   Of course, Chuck put on the rugged rebel and swept Linda off of her feet, but eventually all that passion and chivalry went up in coke.  It's too bad that Linda wasn't able to see his true colors, before she agreed to leave her parent's home to be with him.

  Once she began living with Chuck, he began to take her deep into a world that she never knew existed.  A world of drugs, prostitution, lies, violence and ultimately pornography.  She tried to talk to her mother about it, but her mother wasn't any help at all and merely shoved her back into the fray.  So what does a girl like that do when she has no one to turn to?  Well, it looks like she made a movie, but not just any movie.  The movie Linda would make became one that people would talk about for years to come, but it's a tragedy that her only reason for making it was... fear.   

  After watching this film, we'd just like to say that if any of our female readers are in a relationship that causes you to do things against your will, "Leave Now!".  Please don't remain in a situation that puts your health and well-being in question, there are plenty of programs and supports available to help you get through it alive.  If you need us to help find information, we'll do some research on our end to point you in the right direction.  We just wanted to put that out there, this is a review site, but safety comes first.

  Now, let's get back to the review...

  In closing, "LoveLace" is an interesting film based on true events that were reported to have occurred during Ms. Boreman's early 20s, all the way up to her early 30s.  Amanda Seyfried stars as Linda in the film and we've got to say, she didn't shy away when the script called for her to reveal a little more than her stage voice.  "LoveLace" is a mature biographical film and some of it's content may not be suitable for young viewers.  But, if you someone that doesn't mind a film that's a little risque, you'll appreciate this one because it provides insight into some of the darker unknown moments of Deep Throat's creation.
