The Unlikely Hero Becomes A Gentleman Okay, so we're suckers for a good underdog story and "Kingsman" didn't let us down. The film begins by showing Eggsy(Egerton), a young man with more problems than most who gets a once in a lifetime chance to play a winning hand. Figuratively speaking of course, but Eggsy, initially is the most unlikely candidate to serve as a Kingsman. This is why we like the film so much because it's a story of rags to riches, except instead of rags you have low self-esteem and the riches become confidence and ability. Harry Hart(Firth) plays a major role in the movie, by selecting and sculpting Eggsy into the outstanding gentleman you will see progress throughout the film presentation. So What's Kingsman About? The movie is a story about Eggsy, the unlikely hero, becoming a part of something much greater than himself. He must learn what it means to be a thinker, an executor and an all-around suave guy, if he plans to save the world from the clutches of Mr. Valentine(Jackson). Talk about having one's work cut out..lol Now, just to put it out there, Eggsy doesn't become a Kingsman overnight, he must first prove himself worthy of such a title. He does this by honing his edge time and time again through a series of rigorous tests and challenges presented by a Kingsman trainer named Merlin(Strong). Once Eggsy is finally able to stand on his own two feet, he is thrust into the big leagues where the real fun can begin. And oh what fun they have;) Technology Reflects Modern Day Times Another interesting point we'd like to mention about this film is how much influence today's technology has within the overall story. Now we don't want to give too many details, but we can say that Mr.Valentine's evil plot revolves largely around tech we are all more than familiar with, maybe even too familiar. Kingsman: The Secret Service takes advantage of this familiarity to give the viewers an interesting, yet fictitious story that isn't too far from a possible future. Yeah, they did their homework and then some. When you watch this film, prepare to witness a good blend of today's tech amidst gadgetry and wit you've come to love within the spy genre. After Watching, Kingsman: The Secret Service We enjoyed our laughs and feel that it's definitely a film you should check out if you're looking for a bit of action. Now just to mention, Kingsman isn't a film that promoted an adult themed viewing, but inside you will find some colorful dialogue with mature implications.
