A Killer Kart?
Yes, a Killer shopping cart..lol Don't worry we thought the same thing at first, but after watching we were glad we did.
This film is one of those horror/comedies that takes something we're all familiar with an gives it a sinister makeover. It's actually a pretty good short since it has all the little tidbits we've come to expect in the gore horror genre. In fact, let's run down the checklist and see...
✓Gore - Guts and Gooey Goodness
✓Blood - Might need more than a mop to clean it up
✓Screams - Mindless screaming that adds drama to the victim's survival
✓Panic - Victims run on sheer desperation
If it's missing anything, we're not going to complain because after all the film's only 14 minutes. That's the beauty of a short film, perfect for those quick hits. You know those times when you want to watch something just long enough to last hamburger assault.
So What's Killer Kart About?
Well, the film starts off showing a young teenager named Cass taking a stab at her first day as manager within a local grocery store. She deals with the usual back and forth from co-workers, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
The short film takes a turn however, when Cass returns from a short break. Where she went, you'll have to find out for yourself, but what we will tell you is that nothing is how she left it.
For some strange reason, all of her co-workers have mysteriously vanished, but where could they have gone? Aisle one, nobody found. Aisle 2, no one found. Aisle 3?
A terrified girl named Bailey pressed up against the freezer glass drenched in fear! So what has her all worked up? To find out, you'll have to watch;)
After Watching, Killer Kart...
We feel that our 14 minutes of life force was well worth the exchange. Of course, we could have spent that 14 minutes walking the dog, making calls, but we spent it with James Feeney's work.
One more interesting fact you may not have known about his short is that it was released in 2012 and has been winning over film festivals before it was finally released on the net in January 2015.
So if you have 14 minutes to kill you should check it out. Here it is -> Killer Kart Film Or you can watch the trailer below and decide to watch it later.
