![]() “Kids” is a definite must-see for anyone that loves a gritty, edgy mind-blowing experience. This amazing film by Larry Clark takes the watcher through the underworld of what it means to be an inner-city youth. "Kids" follows a small group of teenagers throughout an entire day of what (believe it or not) is typical for most of the teenagers now. These kids experiment with everything from drugs to sex back to conflict and peer-pressure. It blows my mind that they were even able to film such a taboo movie. I now know that some of it had to be scripted, but it’s unreal how this film was even able to become available to the masses. Some of the scenes in the film, I will tell you are graphic, but you can’t stop watching in shock! When you watch how these teenagers casually reason and justify their inappropriate brutal and dishonest actions, it becomes evident that this isn’t your average film. Now, I’m not trying to deter you from watching, please watch it. This movie will definitely change your view point on your own actions, as well as, make you put on your mommy-n-daddy pants if you have kids of your own. This movies flows smoother than any other documentary that I’ve seen and if it wasn’t for seeing Rosario Dawson, I would have assumed this was some underground film. I’ve recommended this movie to just about everyone I know and now I’m recommending it to you. I won’t tell you too much about the plot line because I want you to be as shocked as I. “Kids” is a movie that you will never forget because of it’s rawness, unfiltered truth that is a product of what we call home. After watching this film, make it a point to come back and tell me what you thought! Thanks for reading -Unhinged Reviews-
