![]() "Jersey Boys blends all the excitement and rush of a live concert with the intimacy of getting to know The Four Seasons- personally!" -Unhinged Reviews Break out your dancing shoes and grab the popcorn, "Jersey Boys" is taking you on a trip! What kind of trip you say? Only the kind that will have you tapping in your seat as you hang on the edge of all the chaos behind the creation and evolution of The Four Seasons! "Jersey Boys" is jam-packed with that "GoodFellas" banter and all the get up and shake of "Chicago". Both are great films, but this one will make it's own mark within the hearts of many. We loved it and this is why... "Your just too good to be true, can't take my eyes off of you" -The Four Seasons It's A Concert Within A Movie When's the last time you had the pleasure of going to memorable concert for the price of a movie ticket? Or better yet, going to a concert and sitting close enough that you could see the performer's eyelashes without getting a beat-down from security? Our guess is probably..um never, but with "Jersey Boys" all that changes. When we sat down at the Carmike, we were a bit antsy, not really knowing what to expect, but hoping for a good time. What we received was Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons(actors) not only singing on the big screen, but inviting us into their lives. We bared witness to the struggles of their home life, insecurities and ultimately the passions that drove some of them to the brink of insanity. You won't get that kind of in-depth backstory at a concert in the pavilion. But, what makes this total experience even better is that the actors/musicians periodically stop throughout the film to tell you what's really going on. You find out how Frankie Valli got the "i" in his name and the real reason The Four Seasons split up several years ago. It's a little hard to imagine any artists performing now to take a fan, let alone a theater full of fans into their home and give up the dirt. My eyes adored you, though I never laid a hand on you, my eyes adored you" It Has All Of That Jersey Swagger We Love As soon as the movie starts rolling, Tommy(Piazza) walks up talking "that talk" and you instantly know it's going to be a good time! It's just something about the way the New Jerseyians call their words, at least in film. Everything's always a big debacle and it takes a smooth talker like Tommy to find a way out of the muck. Then when you add in the rest of the cast, guys like Frankie Valli(Young), Nick Massi(Lomenda) and Bob Gaudio(Bergen) to the pasta, it's amazing. Clint Eastwood has directed a lot of films in his career, but this one is quickly becoming our favorite. Excellent execution on all sides of the production, well done. "My own father said give her up don't bother, the world isn't coming to an end" You Feel Frankie's Pain It's not every movie that you genuinely connect with characters in a film, but you will definitely feel the plight of The Four Seasons in "Jersey Boys". Who knew there was so much turmoil behind the songs that we've all heard countless times on the radio? Did any of us once think twice about how Frankie got a deal? Or pondered what his family life was like off stage? Now, if you were alive around that time frame, you might have passed a thought or two, but maybe not. The reason we're saying this is because "Jersey Boys" makes you care, it provokes emotion. You get happy, you get sad and you eat popcorn the whole while..lol It's an entertaining ride, a memorable experience that you should take as soon as you can. And that's all we have to say about that... -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed reading this Unhinged Review of "Jersey Boys", please share it with another to encourage wise film-viewing decisions.
