A Unique Experience Unlike Anything You've Ever Seen!
So the film starts off throwing you into the deep end head first, by introducing you to the world through the eyes of Henry. Henry doesn't know much about his purpose or why he even exists in the beginning, but as time goes on YOU and Henry learn together.
This movie is told from a point-of-view perspective, so you are there for all of the action. You don't miss anything! Not one bullet. Not one kick or knock your teeth in punch, you see everything. Henry's story evolves from a "What am I doing here curiosity?" to a "Bonafide Ass Kicking Machine" that will leave you with your jaw swinging..lol This film is definitely more than a gimmicky twist on viewer perspective because the story told throughout will leave you with plenty of laugh out loud moments and tons of Hardcore Action! Allow me to tell you why... Henry Grabs You By The Throat And Doesn't Let Go!
I don't know about you, but when it comes setting the tone for a good story, location is everything. This is another aspect of the film that I feel was covered very well, as the Moscow environment constantly shifts while Henry(You) moves throughout film.
One minute, he's jumping out of a window and then in the next, he's beating the wheels off of a guy who definitely had it coming to him..lol It's difficult to be bored watching this film, as the action doesn't stagnate and even when it pauses for Henry to catch a quick breather, Jimmy keeps you in stitches. And don't worry, you'll meet Jimmy(Sharlto Copley) and his many faces soon enough, all you need to do is buy ticket;) After Watching, Hardcore Henry...
I will say, that this movie is blazing a trail that many will try to follow and replicate. Just the sheer gall it takes to launch a film this shiny in a world of copycats takes nerves of steel.
The combination of Ilya Naishuller's unconventional writing, crowdfunding and the impressive team behind him brought this wonderful idea of Hardcore Henry into existence.
