"Foxcatcher" Demands Your Attention "Foxcatcher" isn't just some film an actor could just sit down and dig into, this is a film that required a physical transformation to bring it home. When you see the prosthetics and mannerisms these three talented actors adopted for their performances, you will know what we're talking about. But for now... "Foxcatcher" is a movie about a man wanting to stand on his own, a brother supporting his brother and an eagle flying too close to the sun. Mark Schultz as you know is an Olympic gold medalist from the 80s who along with his brother went to grow with Team Foxcatcher. And even while this may sound like a dream come true, all was not peaches and cream. For you see, John E. du Pont the philanthropist, had more issues than any title or Olympic wrestler could solve in his troubled life. Du Pont struggled with mental illness for many years and on one fateful day, everything came to light. This fateful day involved the cold-blooded murder of David Schultz, who was also an Olympic gold medalist, aside from being the brother of Mark Schultz. In "Foxcatcher", you will see the lives of these three men intersect and collide in one of the most captivating films to come out of 2014. This is on a whole new level of getting into character. These guys donned new noses, jaws and gaits that would baffle the most sophisticated chimp. They not only play wrestlers, they look like wrestlers, Head to Toe! And no, we're not talking about Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold, but real professional grapplers. One can only imagine the studying Tatum and Ruffalo had to go through to nail the moves down just right. Even their interactions outside of the ring show how grappling was the blood of the Schultz brothers. But "Foxcatcher" didn't just stop there. They went and added Steve Carell to the mix with his stoic demeanor and barely recognizable face. "Foxcatcher" is truly a film to be experienced and savored by moviegoers all around. After Watching, "Foxcatcher" We were more than satisfied with it's overall presentation. The movie served it's purpose in telling a compelling story, while at the same time showing performances worthy of praise. In the end, it's sad what happened to the real Mark Schultz and his brother, but maybe we all can learn from their experience. -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed reading the Unhinged Review of "Foxcatcher" share it with a friend...
