It's Clobberin Time! Or Is It?
Well as we said in the beginning, this isn't the first time we've been presented with the Fantastic Four. If you remember back in 2005, we had another cast of heroes that set off on a similar course, only to find their end in just two films.
Is this because the Fantastic Four just doesn't have the same interesting backstory as say a Wolverine? We don't know about you, but we rather enjoyed the second and third attempts made towards forming a quartet of contaminated champions. That's right, second and third attempt, but do you know why? Ever heard of a man named Roger Corman? Well, it seems he released a lackluster version of the Fantastic Four just a year before the 05' team that didn't even make a much as a dent in the Marvel sphere. Fast forward to 2015, where we find ourselves again, at the origin story of the F4, hoping that this one sticks. It should stick, at least in our opinion. Because after all, aren't movies sometimes just entertainment? Is Marvel so big that a film doing less than a quadrillion in it's first weekend is something to evaporate into thin air? It's not like every comic book film put out will have the same success as 'The X-Men" or the "Avenger" series. Besides there's only one Robert Downey, Jr. and a Hugh Jackman only comes to this earth once every blue moon. Is This The Doom Of The Fantastic Four?
Not if we have anything to say about it! We think the cast did an excellent job of providing an entertaining experience for fans of the Fab 4.
So what's this one about then? Well, it seems that the Fab 4 has created a gateway that allows inter-dimensional travel to Planet Zero. And what's Planet Zero? Planet Zero is the birthplace of the Fantastic Four's awesome abilities. There's a little more to it than that, but that's why you have to watch the movie :p As far as the action within F4, it was decent, nothing to write home about, but entertaining nonetheless. The cast members also appeared to have a cohesiveness, as they were sure to place an emotional lens over the Fab 4's plight. And what is that? Stop Doom at all cost! After Watching, Fantastic Four...
We're looking forward to another chapter within the F4 story and possibly a cameo or two in the upcoming Civil War. But...only time will tell.
So if you haven't yet gone to see this film, give a it a shot. What do you have to lose? The Fantastic Four are basically nerds on steroids, but with their minds combined they are capable of many great things. -Unhinged Reviews- Looking For More Unhinged SciFi Reviews? >Enter Here<
