"In The Land Of Gods and Monsters, I was Angel"
-Lana Del Rey "Exodus" finds Ridley Scott on yet another roll, as he directs the writings of Adam Cooper, Bill Collage and two more gifted talents. "Exodus" is not by any means, "Just another film". This movie is one of those, "Let me sit back and soak this in while my head is blown off my shoulders kind of productions"! And not just because it's based on the Book Of Exodus, but because of how powerful the film's message blares across the screen. So are you ready to Unhinge? Let us begin... The Chosen One
Now when it comes to the story of Moses, we're not going to try to tell you what to believe, but only shed light on how this interpretation plays out. So in the beginning, Moses grows up alongside, Ramses, a young pharaoh in the making.
He carries out his duties executing the Pharoh Seti's order's along with prince Ramses(Edgerton) doing whatever generals do. Killing, fighting, leading charges, you know the "Usual". Well somewhere along his follies he stumbles onto the city of Pithom and that's where everything changes for misguided the Moses. Moses(Bale) learns that he is not Egyptian as he once thought and everyone believed, he is of Hebrew descent. Now what's that mean for Moses and his "Royal Family"? Well, that simply means that his whole life has been a lie and he must be discarded to the desert, left to die. Now this is where things get interesting for Moses because not only must he confront his uncertain future, he must come to grips with God. Just imagine living your whole life as a "Boss" and then being stripped down to a level below "Errand Boy". But you know what's funny about losing everything you thought was important? That's the time when you find your greatest strength and become the person you we're destined to be. Powerful film... If you loved "Noah", you'll like this one! Feel The Wrath
Bring on the pain! Boy did they lay it on thick! You wanna talk about special effects bringing the suspense to a head? "Exodus" brought the "Thunda" and then some.
So much carnage, so much blood... You'd think when the world around you is falling people would run to the winning team. Seems some people need to experience the wrath before they are ready to listen. And then, only then, may they pray they are not too late. After Watching, "Exodus: Gods And Kings"...
Wow! Top notch entertainment all the way live! This movie has a buzz that Playstation wishes it could give the world. You've got to love it even if you're not a religious person.
The images and messages about the infinite power of the most high is truly a captivating experience to enjoy. And so what if they exaggerated a little here or there for "oohs and ahhs". The main thing anyone will take away from this film is that they need to pick up "The Good Book" and read for themselves. Because if even for an instant, any of the events shown actually did occur, we're all in for helluva homecoming..lol -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed this Unhinged Review of "Exodus: Gods And Kings", share it with a friend.
