Calling all actors to the set..Calling all actors to the set! Wait, where's Howard(Shepard)? Howard's not here, he's gone to find himself somewhere in the debris of broken whiskey bottles and police mugshots. You see, Howard is a bad boy by any definition of the word. He's someone that has drank and partied himself into oblivion on numerous occasions and for that he's a withered and very much tired old man that has a trail of tears he must sow before he can step into his future. And what a trail of tears it is... Somewhere along his many travels, as a young man acting, he dazzled dozens of women, but never expected to become a father. Talk about pulling the rawhide out of a cowboy's boot! There's nothing more sobering than realizing that you're overindulgence of self-pleasure has caused you to miss out of one of life's greatest adventures and that is being a parent. Yep, that's what the old cowboy finds out in his desperate attempt to escape the 12ft hole he has dug for himself with each drink and every roll of the dice. But how will he handle the situation? Will he be able to find redemption and build a relationship with his child? Or will the film crews in the middle of shooting a 32 million dollar picture find him before he has the chance to find himself? "Don't Come Knocking" isn't the Hollywood Blockbuster Western, but it's a film with decent acting and a simple message wrapped within. Focus on what's important and realize that what you do affects others. One can't go out an party every night or make reckless decisions without reaping the consequences both good and bad of their actions. There are a lot of Howard Spences out there, but after watching this movie, there won't have to be, if they are willing to change. -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed this Unhinged Review of "Don't Come Knocking", please take a second to share this post with others.
