![]() "And you thought Chuckie was serious business!" -Unhinged Reviews If you haven't started your October horror-fest yet, "Annabelle" is a good way to kick it off! This film has quite a few chilling moments and an even creepier story to boot. It shows the back story of the enchanted doll you see in The Conjuring which was also a film based on the reports of paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren. "Annabelle" however, has a great deal more grim and unpleasantly delicious moments which will have you looking over your shoulder. We decided to slip into the theater and see just how chilling the tale actually was and it didn't let us down! Want to know more about this riveting tale? Let's Unhinge... The Story Is Dark So the film is about this cute little couple comprised of John and Miya Gordon who are expecting a little bundle of joy. Seems like a heartfelt moment doesn't it? Well, let's just say it's short lived because after all, this is a horror, right? Now, John and Miya are busying their time with making preparations for the baby when John(Horton) has the bright idea to give his wife a gift. Can you guess what the gift is? Go ahead, think about it, we'll wait... If you haven't guessed it by now, John gives his angelic, perfect little, dainty Miya, the doll we now know as Annabelle. It seems Miya is a collector of dolls and is head over heels for the latest addition to her childhood collection. But.. It isn't long before the Gordons start to have a few extra problems within their home, now that Annabelle has moved in. It's not just the fact that they have a new doll in their home, it's what happens to it. Most dolls, end up left outside in the rain, but this one experiences a little more trauma than that. Trauma to a doll? Yeah, you'll have to see it to believe it! Bad Things Happen To Good People Of course bad things happen to good people, at least in movies anyway. Miya Gordon(Wallis) is the picture-perfect definition of New Mom To Be. When you see her cutesy little haircut and naive demeanor, you're heart will melt for this woman. She looks as if she wouldn't hurt a fly, it's no wonder Annabelle is going to add so much color and excitement to her quaint little home. John's no bad boy either with his store-bought suit and eagerness to climb the "professional ladder" he doesn't have the slightest clue about the world of shiet he's put them in. "It's just a doll" , John(Horton) probably thought, but only if he knew just how playful little Annabelle was going to be... Scary Times..lol This Evil Knows No Limits By now, you should have seen a few films or have at least read a dozen books talking about how demons travel throughout the world. Anything from possession to haunting an old house, Evil Knows No Limits. The film, "Annabelle" is just another example of fragile this little utopia we have in our minds can be destroyed. With that said, most of the population has never really experienced true paranormal activity, but if they do, we're sure they'd take Slimer from Ghostbusters over "Annabelle". Annabelle Is Definitley One To Watch So do you need any more reason to go see a chilling film? We'll completely understand if you're one of these, "I don't watch anything that threatens to alter my view of the world" fanatics. But, if you're someone that's a little edgy and enjoys a good suspense-filled time, you'll want to see this one. Leonettie pulled out all the stops and really plays with the viewers emotions as he makes even remedial things such as sewing...Terrifying! Enjoy. -Unhinged Reviews- Here's a few more chilling films that you might find interesting...
