So What Is Abe About?
"Abe" is a short film that begins with a sense of tension and concern in the air. It is also a film that places one woman face to steel with an all too curious A.I who is incapable of empathy.
The A.I whose origin is unknown is called Abe. Abe has two glowing blue eyes that could burn a hole through concrete. His stare is well just look at the poster. It's rather alluring yet, creepy at the same time. It almost looks as if he's looking right through you. So you can only imagine how Jennifer(Huskisson) the female lead in the story must feel in her "predicament". It's not an all too flexible one if you ask us, but somehow we think that's how Abe wants it. Abe begins talking to Jennifer, by divulging his deepest quandaries on human life, his own purpose and how he plans to find real love. Sounds like a wonderful moment to have with a higher intelligence doesn't it? Unfortunately, for Jennifer, this conversation will not conclude with a round of smiles. After Watching Abe...
We can't help but appreciate the originality of McLellan's work. "Abe" is one of those memorable shorts that you walk away from wishing there was a full-length feature.
And from what we hear, McLellan may have a few tricks up his sleeve to give us just that;) -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed this Unhinged Review of "Abe" , share it with a friend to spread word about a quality short film. Would You Like To Watch Abe? Just Click Below ^_^
