"Denzel and Wahlberg are hilarious in this witty action-comedy that is sure to have you laughing in your seat!"
"2 Guns" is one of those laugh out loud films that only comes around once and in a blue and this one was definitely worth the wait! Mark Wahlberg paired up with Denzel makes for one comical "Bromance" that you won't soon forget.
It's easy to see that these two seasoned vets had a rib-tickling time working together, as they go tit for tat trying to outsmart the other. This movie also has a lot of action and explosions to keep it from getting to zany, but just watching the chemistry between these two actors is pure entertainment. So if you're ready, let's Unhinge!
So the fun begins, by showing these two misfits casing out a bank from one of the best dinners in town. They are searching for something, but we, the viewers, have no idea what it is, until we know what it is. We're not even sure if they know exactly what they're looking for at his point, but the laughs are already staring to roll in. The banter back and forth between Stig(Wahlberg) and Bobby(Washington) grabs you from the first few minutes, but hold on it gets even better.
Once the movie finally gets it's wheels, we are shown that the "2 Guns" are on the verge of doing some business with a well-known Mexican King Pin named Papi Greco(Olmos). Now, Greco isn't just someone that they'll want to push around because his idea of fun takes "whack the mole" to a whole new level! This guy is fat-pocket loaded and fitted with a ranch full of banditos ready to fulfill his will, that is when they aren't eating Barbecue by the bull.
So as the "2 Guns" proceed with their meeting, there's a hiccup and this is the first of many which begin to shape and alter the dynamic relationship of Stig and Bobby. One thing these two guys never thought to do was to check the other one out. You can never underestimate the power of a good background check, especially when you're engaged in some questionable business affairs. Or maybe they did run checks and turned up nothing? Either way, the events that take place soon after their little conversation with Greco, let you know that this movie is loaded with a few extra clips.
Oh, there are so many funny moments to talk about in this film, but we want you all to experience them for yourselves. We've said it before, but we know that "There's nothing worse than having a movie spoiled" , especially if it's one that you really want to see.
Now just a side-note for you, there is a bit of nudity in the film, but it's well addressed and completely appropriate for the context of the film. For example, look at the title, "2 Guns", now if that doesn't say that these guys are at the top of their game, what-else would even come close?
Plus, we know that when your dealing with King Pins and tons of money, there are bound to be a few glimpses of flesh here and there to balance out a day full of guns and grit.
So do we recommend this film for watching? That's a "Big 10-4"! "2 Guns" is a movie full of wit, bullets and laughs that keeps viewers cocked for action, but ready to roll...with laughter? If you haven't seen this title, you can catch it at your nearest Redbox kiosk or favorite movie rental.
