![]() This song has got to be in my top 5! From the outlaw intro to the first snare, it captivates you by taking your mind to levels that transcend time and space. My interpretation of this gem is about a man that has wondered into a fantastical mindset of free will, decisions and alternate endings. It makes me think of those folks that leave their homes and set up residence in areas where normal rules don’t apply. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle-bustle of bills, family and other obligations we often need an escape. For some people the escape opens their minds to curiosity of another life. Escape can produce questions such as “Is this what I want to be doing with my life” and “If I never go back will it matter”. It’s this very same freedom-mindset that can knock one’s world off of the confined axis that it has become accustomed to throughout the life of the host. So I ask you, if you could disappear from what has now become your life..would you? I feel we are all looking for a “Hotel California”. The individuals that have been fortunate to find their own home away home are not telling, but I’m sure we know who a few of them are if we look hard enough. Maybe you’ve found it and didn’t even know it. Hotel California is a classic and always will be – Unhinged Reviews

This is a nice post for self-analysis. I feel that escape is not the solution of any problem, a person have to face the situation and try to solve it.

Thanks and I see what your saying about people needing to deal with the matter at hand. Sometimes though, don't you think while working on the solution, one may need to step away from the situation(escape), if only for a moment to gain some clarity that they might never notice in the eye of the fire?
