![]() In a world saturated with music containing superficial topics such as money and clout, Rebelution is a breath of fresh air. Rebelution's music contains uplifting content guaranteed to put you in a highly relaxed state. The group's sound is steeped in reggae and has elements of soft rock, as well as, world music. I stumbled onto the group's 2012 album release titled Peace Of Mind and it's full of what they would call Good Vibes. "Sky Is The Limit" is a song from the album that promotes positivity and motivates one to look past the naysayers. Not many groups can say that they have a fresh unique sound that has been able to integrate with audiences across the world. The lyrics of their songs aren't deeming in any way and they have a pleasant onstage appearance as well. You won't see 1000 tattoos on one arm or an egocentric lead singer trying to become the next sex symbol. Nothing is wrong with that if that's the kind of sound you want to listen to, but if you want a group with sustenance then, Rebelution is for you. They also have acoustic versions of their songs in the deluxe version of their album which adds a very nice contrast to their sound. A lot of groups rely heavily on enhancers and sound boards to mask their inabilities to deliver a clean performance. When I speak of clean, I mean fresh and invigorating like drinking a cool glass of water on a hot day. Just look at the video below to see how they connect with their audiences and how they truly believe in the message of their music. One thing that I noticed initially, from their video is that their focus is clearly on the music and the people moved by it. There are several other standout cuts on this particular album such as "Closer I Get" and "Day By Day" which show you how diverse their sound can be. Talented individuals such as they rarely get the recognition they deserve, until they have a major crossover hit. That's why here at Unhinged Reviews, you're getting the privilege to be introduced to this group and their intriguing sound. The group consist of five primary members Eric, Rory, Wesley, Chris and Marley who each contribute to the band's amazing sound. As I listen to them further and explore more of their music, I'm sure I will find some more gems in catalog of songs. So I will leave you with a video, as well as, a link to their site just in case you don't want to wait until the next review to hear more. Cheers!
