If I Ruled The World No poet's ascent is complete without trails and tribulations. Nas spent the next few years continuing to drop fire, as well as, duck fire from the haters. But he never stopped writing and never stopped perfecting his craft. It's like a diamond getting shaped by movements within the earth. You can't have perfection in a moment and you can't become Nas overnight. To have a career as fruitful and solid as Nas, battles must be won and even more must be fought. Which brings us to a time when Nas was embroiled in what some call the greatest hiphop beef ever. True fans know about it, that moment when Jay'Z dropped "The Takeover" and Nas came back with Ether! \m/ Ether Nas came out with Guns Blazing..Lyrical Barrels locked on a target that was big enough to take the hit and skilled enough to make it a fair fight. Both artists pulled some heavy lyrics from the depths and gave the world a battle for the ages. But Ether..Ether was a game changer. You know a lot of folks had thought that Nas fell off and he lost his touch, but when this came out, the game got Ugly. This song had rappers burning their notebooks and dumping ink out of their pens. (We like to think this is how things played out..lol) Who would even step to the kid after this awesome display of lyrical firepower? But of course, his opponent came back with another diss record, but by then..the battle was over. Nas and Jay have since reconciled their differences and the legend of Nas continues... -Unhinged Reviews- If you enjoyed this Unhinged Review, let us know by sharing it with true fans of hiphop
