![]() Mr. Malcom James Mccormick, where shall we begin? Mac Miller, as you may know is a rapper from Pittsburgh that is best known for his passions of: parties, weed and women. Now, this is what draws most people to his music, but here at Unhinged we try to examine all angles of the craft, the total package. Throughout Mac's young career in music he has put out a number of songs that focus mostly on the surface layer topics, but occasionally he will drop something like "1 Threw 8" or "Fu*k Em All". For this review, "Fu*k Em all" was chosen for it's introspective content that proves behind the mic he's not just blowin smoke. "If everything was gone tomorrow, who would miss it"- Mac Miller When you hear lines like this, you know people are taking a second to look inside themselves and all things around them. We are not here forever and we each must find something more meaningful then what we seek on a day to day basis. Mac's found his voice, but what will he do with it, that's the question. Will he use his opportunity to cash in and be the "Hot New Rapper" for 15 minutes or will he motivate and inspire forward movement in his listeners? I'm curious to find out which road he will take, but for right now we know he's getting money and lots of it.! "Fu*k Em All" starts off with this fresh soundscape that captivates-n-levitates the listener to his plane of sight. It's evident that expanded states of consciousness were used in the production of the beat, as well as, the lyrics, but the outcome is superb. Mac questions the quality of his gains and seeks a bigger purpose throughout the distance of the track. You can really hear the connection that he makes with his listeners, as he uses phrases like "We all wanna know". Yes, Mac we all do wanna know and we are each trying very hard to find it in our own way. The hook breaks down to a "live-your-life-for-you-philosophy" which is something a lot of people forget to do as they try to please everyone they meet. You can't please them all and attempting to do so will only bring more stress and bitterness into your life. Knowing when to let something go and when to hold on it is a daily struggle for everyone, Unhinged Reviews included, no one is exempt. Mac did a wonderful job putting this song together with the hopes that it will spark minds and ignite curiosity. Well, we've got news for you Mac, It worked! "Fu*ck Em All" is a song from Mac's Macadelic which hosts additional introspective songs such as "1 Threw 8" and "The Question". If you want to hear a different side of Mac's sound, these 3 songs are a great place to start. If you liked the review, please comment, like or retweet below. Thanks for reading. -Unhinged Reviews-
