Remember This?![]() Just the title of this film alone makes us think back to when some of us first heard these two on a track together. The classic "How High" anthem has played loudly in many cyphas, cars, house parties and anywhere people indulge in Higher Education. So it's no wonder that years later they would put out a movie with the same name doing what they do best. And what do they do best besides rap? Come on you know the answer..lol Let's just say, if Mary Jane was a cigarette brand, they would have cartons by the pallet and be lifelong chain-smokers. The movie was funny too, it had a little romance in it with a lot of smoke, classic Meth and Red-style ^_^ BlackOut! Now this album right here was the album we all waited for, some even prayed for, the "BlackOut". Talk about crucial impact across the hiphop nation, you couldn't even deny this album if you wanted to, it was here. Method Man and Redman finally came together to bring us that gruff and funk we wanted in a time when hiphop needed it most. It's obvious they could have dropped this gem anytime they wanted, but they waited until the right time and when it hit, Wow! "BlackOut" showcased each MC in his own element while at the same time blending their two styles in seamless harmony. Every track on the album shows the two trading witty bars back to back like a Siamese heartbeat. These guys hit notes and drop quotes, they got bars like Marborol keeps smokes. "Oops, we're getting a little carried away here", but you get the point. Literally, two MCs at the peak of their game took a moment out and gave the fans pure bliss and for that we are grateful. They have since had other collaborations and continue to do what they do, but we just wanted to take a moment and shine some light on real hiphop.
