Channel Live Ft. Krs-One Mad Izm
It's really comical to hear some of these young artists today that have no clue what hip-hop sounds like... thinking that they are "Nice". Thinking that they have a chance at gaining the respect of vets when all they do is put out puppy dog lyrics over pop-heavy tracks.
You can't even call what they're talking about thought-provoking, it's not even art! It's more or less a contest to see who can get the most groupies and who parties the hardest.
And it's perfectly fine for a clueless audience, but for those that know the truth, it will not suffice.
This one throwback from Channel Live can literally melt a lot of this filth people blast from their cars. Just listen to the hard beat and the delivery of the lyrics.
They're not talking about watches and wanna be thugs, they are talking about lyrics and rhyming... Isn't that what HipHop is supposed to be about?
Rob Base And D.J. E-Z Rock (It Takes Two)
How can we not mention Rob Base and E-Z Rock in this conversation? "It Takes Two" is a prime example of how a rapper can make a dance track without looking like a damn idiot.
Point. Blank. Period. Now again, when you listen to this track, notice how there's no, "I got a million dollars on my pinky" or some half naked girl "twerkin" like her life depended on it.
With "It Takes Two", all you hear is fresh lyrics within a nice groove that will play forever. The world will probably freeze and pigs will fly before artists like Two Chains or Young Thug get this much respect in the game.
Fu-Schnickens (True Fuschnick)
The state of rap is forever changing, it seems that the kids have replaced creativity with uneducated nonsense. Sometimes the reason is due to a lack of talent, but other times, it's a lack of knowledge.
So to wrap this up, if you're an aspiring MC and want to make a difference in the world. Bring music that has vision, purpose or just something truly unique. Don't try to sound like anybody else out there..Be Yourself. Find the source of your inspiration within your own mind...and when you step to the mic bring everything you've got!
