![]() "Time don't stop and wait for pain, pain does fade away in time" - Chrisette Michele(I'm Okay) Dont' know if you heard about this lady named Chrisette Michele, but she "got" the thunder in her soul. This lady belts out heartfelt croons, as if they were air. Powerful voice on this little songstress, amazing talent that I'm happy to review on Unhinged. A lot of women become successful in the music biz by broadcasting their "Sexy" in two big neon lights, but not this one. Michele lets her inner beauty match her outer and isn't afraid to speak her mind. The clarity in her voice exudes confidence in her craft. She speaks to your soul whether man or female, from upbeat to a slow tempo she's got it locked down. "I'm Okay" is a song that speaks to all those that have ever experienced love or a deep longing for someone or something and had it just vanish from their reality. You remember that deep pain you felt in your chest when you lost what you thought was your everything? Now, do you remember when you let it empower you rather than allow it to devour your essence? Well, if you don't remember you will in time and if you can remember then you know where she was at when she wrote this anthem. "I'm Okay" is just that, an anthem to utilize our past as stepping stones to a brighter future. "And it only hurts when I breath"- Chrisette Michele(I'm Okay) I believe this lady could sing about making a peanut butter sandwich and it would put tears in your eyes. Her voice is that strong and when you put real feelings behind it there is no denying that Chrisette Michele deserves every bit of success that she has had in her career. I've never been a fan of the make a single so I can sell records moto, but that "make real music that people actually experience" is what we love here at Unhinged Reviews. I'm telling you, I would definitely go to one of her shows to hear this song in person. A woman that's focused and knows what she wants is Chrisette Michele. The producers of this song definitely place every kick, snare and piano key in the pocket. The instrumental starts off with a slow, calculated rain, before building up into this epic orgasm of Ear Candy. For those sensitive to excitement, you may need a towel for this one. As the song builds, she sings louder with more and more passion, drive and truth that just takes you right over the edge with her. You find yourself cheering her on as she digs through the pain to find that one branch that can support her uphill climb. Epic is the word that comes to mind when I think of "I'm Okay", it's a movie in itself. I'm talking full body sway, hand in the air, eyes closed, candle burning intensity. I want you to listen to this song when you need that release, but don't have the words. Don't worry, Chrisette got you covered in full. Amazingly-Beautiful song, enjoy the greatness!
