Well, alright then! Looks like July is rolling out the big guns coming into this month of movie madness. You know it's not always laid out for you when you get in front of the big ticket window, but we're here to help. As you know each month we've picked hit after box office hit and this month will not be any less than superb. So without further ado, here are our recommendations of top films to see in the month of July. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes 7-11-14 Now if our memory serves us correctly Caesar is nothing to play with! Do you remember the chills you had when you heard his first words in Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes? Do you remember how Caesar took a stand and ascended to his rightful place within the ranks of his brethren? Well, it looks like he's all geared up for another round and this time he's got an army behind him! In this one, we're expecting to see more action than the first and curious to see how the humans respond to his highly developed mind. We've waited long enough and now it's here! The Purge: Anarchy 7-18-14 Not through Purging are we? Looks like you've still got a taste for blood and are thirsting for more violence and mayhem. Is that you, you Purger you..lol We're just joking folks if you haven't caught the tone, but Why So Serious? Now for most of us action/horror junkies out here, we had our interest peaked with the first Purge , but we still wanted more Ultra Violence!(Watch Clockwork Orange much do ya:p ) However, from the few snips of lunacy we've seen in the trailer above, we can already tell that the carnage has been amped up 10 fold. Now, we don't know just how far they will push the sensors because after all this is an American release...But..we are expecting the blood to hit the pavement pretty darn quick into The Purge. We're just glad this isn't happening for real! Either way, we will be watching this one with a can of mace and a mag-light on standby. Lucy 7-25-14 Saving the best for last has always been a good rule of thumb, but when it comes to Scarlett Johansson, we'd wait in a category 4 hurricane with flip flops on! This movie is going to be freakin awesome, but you already knew that. If you remember her latest work in "The Winter Soldier" you can already see she is more than primed for the job. This woman is fit, agile, pretty and has an intensity about her that just screams Delish. The fact that she's chock full of telekinetic mind-bending powers and whatever else is stuck in her side is just a plus. What we're hoping for most in this film is for Johansson to finally get the respect she deserves for more than just her beauty. She's a hard-working actress that has paid her dues and has continually pushed the envelope for herself which in turn raises the bar for any other woman looking to fill her shoes. We're with you Scarlett and we know you won't let us down! Well, there you have it folks! Our list of top films to see this month in theaters.
