Only two movies to see in theaters this month? Really? Yes, it seems the box offices are cooling their heels before heating up again in the fall. So what does that mean for "us" the fans? Well, it just means that as they "cool down",we won't have as many mega blockbusters coming out. But... We do see a few diamonds in the ruff that we will gladly inspect as we wait for the next big thing on screen. So while we wait for the fall/winter rush, here's what we'll be viewing this month. The Maze Runner 9-19-14 You know as long as creative authors keep rolling out trilogies, we won't have a shortage of film ideas for years to come. And speaking of trilogies, here comes another one! "The Maze Runner", it's a film drafted from a book with the same name, written by Mr. James Dashner. "The Maze Runner" looks to be another Sci-Fi teen-close to being adult adventure that will bring some fresh faces to the table. It stars Dylan O'Brien as Thomas, a young boy who is mysteriously thrown into the chaos of a maze with the sole purpose of finding answers while trying to survive the night. From what we've seen in the trailer, it has that Lord Of The Flies feel, but with an updated twist. We're looking for a lot of fast-paced action and CG goodness to come out of this one. We're going..are you? The Equalizer 9-26-14 You never know what effect a good haircut will have on some people and it looks like without hair, Denzel is going ape shiet! "The Equalizer" for anyone that was not alive during the 80s was a television show about a covert-type guy that purged his past sins by assisting those in need. Now, this wasn't the "change a tire-paint your house kind of help", it was the "I'll put him in the dirt and no one will know about it" kind of help. Richard Wenk, the screenplay writer, went back into the 80s and dug out this gem, so it should be interesting to see how he retells the story in 2014. From a film like this, you can expect, guns, violence, blood and a killer with a heart of gold..lol Don't you just love a killer with a conscience? We do because you don't feel guilty for clapping when he's slaughtering insane madmen without a moment's hesitation. Ultimately, we're going to see this film for two reasons, one being "Denzel" and the other being, "we love the 80s" \m/ Hope to see you there! Well, you've just seen our list of picks for the month, do you agree or disagree? Let us know in the comments below.... Thanks again for reading....
