Things are definitely heating up for the summer as we have two Juggernauts squaring off against each other. For the first part of the month, we have Warner Bros. setting the tone on cruise control, before Paramount Pictures breaks out the Big Guy! There's a little fluff in between the two, but it's highly unlikely that any of the month's fillings will be as thick as these two buns! We hope we didn't lose you on that pun, but let's "Unhinge" this month's selection.
Edge Of Tomorrow: 6-6-14
Anything that starts off with the slogan, "Live Die Repeat" is freakin awesome by any standard of the definition. Tom Cruise stars in another cosmic battle against the future and it doesn't look like he's lost the pep in his step. "Edge Of Tomorrow" comes off as one of those mind-splitting films that will be big on special effects and generous with it's storyline. From what we can see in the trailer, June's first pick is a #nobrainer!
Jersey Boys: 6-20-14
Jersey Shore stand up! Or sit down, however you get comfortable when devouring theatrical presentations...lol We chose "Jersey Boys" as our second pick because it's well, different. We know it will have some quality tunes to rock out to, but at the same time we're getting that Scorsese-esque "GoodFellas" feel.
Now, we're sure you've all heard that Clint Eastwood is directing this film and partly assisting in production, but have no fear, Dirty Harry can do it all! Remember, Unforgiven? So in short, "Jersey Boys" will not be a big action blockbuster, but it should shed some light on a talented group of men known as The Four Seasons.
Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction: 6-27-14
The Decepticons are coming, but where is Optimus Prime? How can we ever hope to make it? Well, if Mark Wahlberg has anything to do with it, we just might get through this thing alive! "Age Of Extinction" is packed with so much action this time around, it's just got to be the Golden Calf. Anything with Wahlberg is like putting chocolate on the perfect cake, it's bulletproof!
What we're looking for most in this one, is to see how Prime guides his Autobots to victory after four years of collecting rust. They've done so much for us and it appears that we've tossed them to the side, but here we are again in need of a savior, in need of help, we need Optimus!
And there you have it folks! Our top theater picks for June. There were a few other runner-ups like "The Signal" and "22 Jump Street, but the three we've picked should give you that bang to leave you buzzin long after the movie is over.
Thanks for reading! Now, do you agree with our list or have you picked a few others?
