So here we are halfway through December and finally we get two films worth our attention.
Now you've probably noticed that we didn't put Star Wars: The Force Awakens on our list...we'll get to why it didn't make the cut at the end, but for now... Here's our picks for Dec. Point Break 2015 - 12-25-2015
Now, it's a given that a lot of people will be on the fence about watching another remake of a classic, but..
Point Break 2015 looks like it might stand on it's own two legs with the addition of all the awesome stunts they've previewed in the trailer. Luke Bracey plays the FBI agent this time around and we feel this works since he's still somewhat of an unknown in the land of popular film. Point Break will give him an opportunity to stand on the shoulders of the Great Swayze and pay respects while..hopefully giving us a review-worthy performance. We've been waiting for this one a while and in a few days, it will finally be here. The Hateful Eight - 12-25-2015
Now our reasons for picking The Hateful Eight as our second choice to see in theaters this month boils down to one name. We shouldn't even need to mention it, but just in case..Here it is.
Quentin Damn Freakin Tarantino! Anything this man slaps his hands in is pure gold, as he story-telling is some of the edgiest penmanship to come out the last 50 years of film history. Quentin's films range from classics such as "Kill Bill" and "Pulp Fiction" all the way to the slave turned superhero charged, Django. It's a win-win situation anytime you watch a Tarantino production. Plus, when you add the all-star cast..it's impossible to lose. So yeah, we'll be there front row ready for the show. Why Star Wars: The Force Awakens Didn't Make The List
One thing people need to understand about 'The Force Awakens" is that this is a film for the Die-Hards. This film is for those who've been riding with the self-proclaimed Sky Walker throughout the epic 30+ year history of the Star Wars Empire.
We however, will not be going to watch this one as for us it does little to impress. Maybe it's because we could never really get into the story from the beginning or who knows. But either way, millions will be going to enjoy this cosmic journey on the 18th..and maybe just maybe next year, we'll watch all of them back to back and write one Monster Review ^_^ -Unhinged Reviews
